Jackson R-2 - A District Rich in Tradition

Welcome to Jackson R-2 School District!
As a district rich in tradition of excellence, Jackson R-2 Schools is a reflection of our community. High academic achievement is a priority for our students, parents and staff. Jackson R-2 students have surpassed state and national averages on the ACT for the past 15 years. Along academic excellence, Jackson R-2 students excel in fine arts, athletics and extracurricular activities.

With the support of our community, the district is currently completing additions and renovations to the Jackson High School campus. Education is something the Jackson community values. This is what drives us to improve. Our focus, from early childhood to high school, is excellence.

SUMMER ADVENTURE CLUB 2009

The Summer Adventure Club is offered to students who will be entering grades K-7 in the Fall of 2009. The Kindergarten program is designed to introduce students to the school setting while engaging them in fun learning activities. Visitor to Mrs. Thompson's Kindergarten class

Melanie Erlbacher, parent and staff interpreter for SEMO Alliance for Disability Independence was a guest speaker in Nancy Thompson’s Kindergarten classroom. Mrs. Erlbacher told the story of the Three Little Pigs using sign and led the children in the singing of their days of the week calendar song.
